I have been in a grumpy mood today because I didn't eat well this weekend and I didn't work out much. I had sushi, Mexican, and even a HAMBURGER yesterday! It is so amazing how just getting off track for 2 days can throw you into a tailspin. But instead of staying in the bed and sleeping in like I wanted to to do this is what I did.

I got up and dusted off the food journal and started meticulously measuring out my food. Then I put on my tennis shoes and went to D1 to work out. Then I came home and measured my snack. Then I started tracking what I would need to do to lose the last 15 pounds by November. I ate lunch and then another snack. Now its dinner time and I am already feeling back on track!

My point is don't let a few bad days keep you off track forever. If you have fallen off the horse just get back on it!!

Together we can keep winning this battle!

Amy

Thanks so much for sharing your struggle with honesty. You have no idea how much it means to those of us who fall of the bandwagon and have trouble jumping back on. You are an inspiration and your emails help motivate me! Thank you!

Great reminder, Amy! Part of being a life-long dieter until 2003 was my all-or-nothing mentality! If I wasn't going to have time for a 45-minute walk around the nearby lake then I did no walking at all! If I went off my diet just a little bit, the whole day was written off and I started over the next day...or month...or year!!
Nowadays, even if I'm coming in 15 min. late, :45 min. of yoga is better than zero; 50 min. of weight-lifting is better than zero; heck, :20 min on the exercycle is better than zero!
Sorry we didn't get a chance to talk at the ATL casting call. I really enjoyed talking with Phil, tho. It wasn't until I got home & went to your website & saw your TBL videos that I suddenly realized I'd watched y'all!!! The scene with Jillian harnessing Phil was/is one of the most anxiety-producing moments of any episode of TBL and I had watched it back then. Small world.
Your story on the 700 Club is also worth screening.
Blessings to you & Phil,
Lauralyn
